I cherish my mother’s teachings including one she passed on through a birthday card, in which she shares the story of Chaka Zulu in Zululand, South Africa. Born a royal, Chaka Zulu was rejected by his father and forced to live a life of poverty. From nothing, Chaka Zulu became a strong warrior for the people of Zululand. He turned his small tribe into an army of over 100,000 men and an empire the size of France.

Growing up in Sierra Leone, then moving to the United States as a refugee, I intend to inspire young men to become modern day warriors. I use African inspired fabrics and silks to accomplish this mission.

Zulubow is a brand that pushes those who wear my products to feel like warriors in today’s society. Products include unique African print bow ties, ascots and classy turtlenecks.
